ABSTRACT
This study was aimed at investigating
Academic Performance and Vocational Choice of Secondary School Student in Ikere
Local Government in Ekiti
State. The reviews of
literature showed that student with sound academic disposition go for noble
profession like Medicine, Law e.t.c. because it was full hardy
for a person who
went to be an engineer or a physicist when hates mathematics. If showed that
one cannot succeed in pursuing a career for which he had no interest or
ability. And the review makes it clear that some college student tend to take
after their parents. A questionnaire “Academic Performance and Vocational
Questionnaires” was used for the collection of relevant information from the
secondary school student in Ikere Local Government. During the course of
finding we undergone to different school. This instrument was used to collect
relevant information on from the students.
The finding of investigation showed that there is no significant relationship
between Academic Performance and Vocation choice of secondary school student
throughout the data collected.
